Artwork Description

This is the first print of nine original hand carved and and hand burnished lino prints.
Due to the artisanal nature of the process there might be minor irregularities and small ink stains on the picture and paper. “Encounter” was printed on 80gsm Ho-sho Japanese handcut paper.
I am a fantasy enthusiast and this print was inspired by one of the stories I read a few years ago.

Artist Bio

Virna Mulino is a Melbourne-based classically trained artist working mainly with acrylics and watercolour with a passion for lino cuts and fiber.
In her work she is in a constant search for an aesthetic ideal, creating whimsical abstract (and sometimes non) fantasy worlds; fragments of joy and excitement where viewers can immerse themselves in an imaginative journey, finding vistas of vibrant and playful bursts of colour and moments of inward reflection, lifting their spirit while constructing their own reality; giving shape and form to a bridge that connects the dots between what they see and what they think.
