Artwork Description

I have always loved the Rocks area. So much history.
The Observer Tavern, a historic pub in Sydney's Rocks area, was built in 1848 and demolished in 1908. It was known for its association with the nearby Observatory and sometimes served as a makeshift coroner's courtroom.

Artist Bio

I was born in Devon England and immigrated to Australia with my husband and two daughters.
I am a self- taught artist, painting mainly landscapes and buildings.
I have had several exhibitions at various galleries in the St George and Sutherland area and I have also won first prize at the Oyster Bay Festival of Arts plus other secondary prizes.
I started in oil colours but am now using watercolours also.
I hope you like my paintings as much as I enjoy painting them.
