Sailor's Return

This painting was taken from a photo of The Rocks,Sydney in the 1900's. The people are in my imagination but I think it is so important that we have some way of looking back at the way things were and how they have changed.

I was born in Devon England and immigrated to Australia with my husband and two daughters.
I am a self- taught artist, painting mainly landscapes and buildings.
I have had several exhibitions at various galleries in the St George and Sutherland area and I have also won first prize at the Oyster Bay Festival of Arts plus other secondary prizes.
I started in oil colours but am now using watercolours also.
I hope you like my paintings as much as I enjoy painting them.
