I am an emerging artist based in Brisbane, Meeanjin Country. My abstract works respond to the social events and visual stimuli I encounter, transformed through my personal reflections and experiences.
A recurring theme in my art is the interaction of natural processes and human activity in the urban environment. I am responding to the beauty and intensity of nature and the controlled environment in which we live and experience it. The organic forms and gestural marks are confined in the shape of the canvases or the grid. Some works reflect on global issues, such as urbanization and climate change, other are intuitive expressions of personal experiences.
I exhibit annually and was a finalist at Bayside Visual Art Prize 2019, and a category winner at Ashrei Art Prize in 2020 and 2023.
