I am an emerging artist based in Brisbane, Meeanjin Country. My abstract works respond to the social events and visual stimuli I encounter, transformed through my personal reflections and experiences.
βA recurring theme in my art is the interaction of natural processes and human activity in the urban environment which I explore from different perspectives. I am responding to the beauty and intensity of nature, and the controlled environment in which we experience it in the place we are living. The organic forms and gestural marks are confined in the shape of the canvas or the grid of multiple panels. These works reflect on global issues as urbanization, globalization and climate change through the lens of my personal experiences.
I exhibit annually and was a finalist at Bayside Visual Art Prize 2019, and a category winner at Ashrei Art Prize in 2020 and 2023.
