Artwork Description

Photograph on paper

Signed on the front.

All art by Walter Stahl

A branch of Poinciana flowers' organic forms juxtaposed with boldly colourful vertical stripes of varying widths, which are neither in the fore- nor in the backgroundThree panels side by side:
Left panel: Two tailed emperor butterflies, an assortment of natural and a manmade objects, in a moody composition in warm yellow orange sunset tones
Middle panel: Fourteen butterflies, dried red lily blossoms and mutated twigs, on a 'background' of fine vertical and horizontal stripes in a delicate, and somewhat both macabre and romantic composition , on a 'background' of fine stripe
Right panel: Two tailed emperor butterflies, an assortment of natural and a manmade object, in a moody composition almost mirroring the left panel of the triptych. Warm purple-blue hued stripes make up the background, and reddish brown tones are the other dominant colourthree little bird skeletons are arranged with a bauhinia flower, some round seeds that look a bit like eggs, and a mass of black and white feathers, streaming upwards.three little bird skeletons are arranged with a bauhinia flower, some round seeds that look a bit like eggs, and a mass of black and white feathers, streaming upwards.
