I ran into this little dog on the street in my neighbourhood about two years ago.
He had a face that smiled when he was paying attention, and he moved so much we had to convince him to jump into my arms so we could take a picture.
His owner was a kindly older gent, and this puppy was charming everyone on the street. I couldn’t stop thinking about the puppy for months.
So I drew him. And called him Alfred.
Alfie for short.
