Wayne is a West Australian artist and Illustrator who works mainly with graphite on various surfaces.
Encouraged by the idea of creating dramatic impressions using only a pencil, Wayne favours subject matter drawn from places and situations he has seen and imagined, personalities he’s encountered, and interesting questions he wants to ask you through his drawings.
His medium is primarily lead and colour pencil, blended with burnishers and solvents using a brush are his favoured mediums. It allows him to create a sense of 'fantastical realism' without being too heavily bound to photorealism.
