With reference to 'Counter Balance' this is another work from the same series generated by similar ideas except here there is more of an allusion to landscape if one looks deeply, so in this context there is more ambiguity than in that work which was purely abstract and a formal play with defined elements.
The palette in this work is warmer, more earthy with rich ochre yellows, oranges and earthy greens.
this work has a sort of glow and presence that is hard to capture in image form.
