Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the back.

This is one of a series of 8 smaller works ideal for small apartments or where space is restricted. They are bold colourful imaginative plays on the landscape but with a slight twist. The title was inspired after reading a scientific article musing on the possibility of life once existing on the planet Venus during an earlier epoch of the solar systems evolution.
What would that look like, would plants evolve differently under different conditions.
Any number of questions might arise out of an article like that.
There is a lusciousness to these works almost candy like and in a way they are a form of visual confection and would easily compliment a range of artefacts in an interior.
The richness of the paint comes from up to 3 different under-washes then layers of acrylic in graduating tonal values generating high dynamic visual contrast.
