Last year when I visited Victoria, we took a walk into the Werribee national Park after the rain and found the gorge to be running freely and happily. The little black birds were dusting their feathers in the dirt , it was a bright sunny day and life couldn't get much better. I put brush to canvas and worked this sunny composition with a large tree, the hills and gorge and these little creatures enjoying life in hues of yellow, orange greens and browns.

The wonders of nature are felt in this composition, as succulents are widely known as a symbol of tenacity, strength, and selfless love. So, gifting them would be a great idea to show your unconditional love to the person you love the most, if not the plant, then this painting, with its lasting benefits.
Landmarks like the ever-striking Coral tree on our eastern shores reminds us that nature still does prevail and provides nectar for our wildlife friends like this wattle bird โ€“ may they remain hail and mighty against current environmental deforestation and global warmingSmall housedogs are precious living beings that grace our homes and keep us company. Sometimes, they are so small they almost fade into the carpet! Watch your step!
This work embraces my urban sprawl collection highlighting the growth and development on our land by humans and their assets
This work was inspired by reading about the women who help protect the National Parks and threatened wildlife in the Hunter Central Coast and the women in our history who collected and studied our unique wildlife for our education and enjoyment.
It is a telling story of current climatic threats to our native flora and fauna. Reflecting on these ecological perils, I have become a climate activist, using my work as a platform to raise awareness and imagine a more sustainable future. And to use my art as a beacon of hope, lighting the way and compelling us to recognise our Australian land heritage and, together, celebrate our coexistence.
