Art Resume
Wendy Fine graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.
She was also the co-owner of a studio, where she taught the art of Decoupage for many years.
Coming from a musical family, she suddenly found herself writing, singing and recording songs for children, achieving multiple gold awards and nominations, for her music. She has appeared on television, both in South Africa and Australia.
Wendy Fine, emigrated with her family to Australia in 1988.
In the past 16 years she has been creating artworks on canvas, wood, paper, ostrich eggs, mirrors, and assemblage art on bottles. She has a passion for using found objects in her artworks and has collected bits and pieces from places she has visited.
Her studio is a delight of collections of baubles, beads, old jewellery, paint, papers, bits of metal, dried leaves, fabric and anything recyclable that could be broken down and used in her mixed media work.
Her recent solo exhibition at the Waverley Library in Bondi Junction, received many accolades and much interest in her varied techniques of art, as well as her exciting collection of over one hundred bottles, magically and artistically transformed into pieces of decorative collectables for home or office.
Her love of collage has developed over the past 6 years, once again incorporating found objects and images collected over the years.
She has exhibited in many joint exhibitions.
