ALL ARTWORK DISCOUNTED FOR FUNDRAISING
I used to walk around as a child with a sketchbook and pencil drawing everything that I could see around me.....in my early 20s a group of friends while I was nursing bought me an easel, canvas, set of oil paints and an oil paint box, since then I have been exploring oil painting and exploring the medium. My brother used to live in northern NSW and he and some people were putting together a cafe called the sound lounge and I exhibited most of my artwork there. A group of Artists came together in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane called Artwest Community Gallery and I am now exhibiting here as well as Aspire Gallery in Brisbane. I decided to grow and develop my Art to become more professional and am now completing a Master of Arts in Visual Arts Post at QLD College of Art through Griffith University, which has diversified my Art and taught me a methodology for putting together contemporary artwork and developing my ideas and creativity. All of the proceeds from my art are currently going to my daughter who has cerebral palsy, she is now fully dependent in an electric wheelchair and needs an adapted van for transport, I live in the beautiful region of Mt Crosby, however it has no transport.
