Walking on our local beach and our changing weather patterns and the effect on our environment was the inspiration behind these paintings of the ocean. Deep blues and greens of waters swell as though seen at night with only the moonlight as a means of illumination. Using the deep colours of the Australian outback, burnt umber, burn sienna, yellow ochre this painting depicts the warm sky and burnt land. Focusing on highlights from the sun. to create a very atmospheric painting.
