Sunset Over the Water 2

This large oil painting is a stunning abstracted sunset over water. A smaller version of this sold a few months ago. It’s very dramatic and painted with great skill. Wendy has been painting in oils for over 20 years. Interior designers should take note of this piece to glorify a large room.

Wendy Sherwell has always loved art and started painting seriously about 20 years ago and has made a concerted effort to hone her skills. She loves painting bright colourful abstract art and her main inspiration came originally from the Blue Rider Group and the fauvism painters. Wendy is now branching out into abstracted landscape paintings and experimenting with large palette knives to create emotive individual original paintings. She is a very eclectic artist and is inspired by many things in the natural world. From time to time you will see some surrealistic art and there is a wide variety of styles in her portfolio. Experimentation with artistic ideas is what keeps her art alive and energetic!
