Woman With Parasol in Capri

This painting is the third in a current series. A woman is travelling through Italy and has arrived in beautiful Capri. Bougainvillia lines the walls of the narrow streets and the bright blue Mediterranean sky hovers above. Light bounces off walls and she is glad of her parasol. Please see the other two “Woman With Parasol” paintings in this series. Please note this one is a bit smaller than the first two.

Wendy Sherwell has always loved art and started painting seriously about 20 years ago and has made a concerted effort to hone her skills. She loves painting bright colourful abstract art and her main inspiration came originally from the Blue Rider Group and the fauvism painters. Wendy is now branching out into abstracted landscape paintings and experimenting with large palette knives to create emotive individual original paintings.
