The thrill and vibrancy of yachts sailing and fish teeming beneath the waves, are one of my favourite themes to paint. Sailor's Surrender is a mixed media painting that captures the essence of a day out on the water, with many boats vying for a podium place in the regatta. Fish swim beneath the chaotic scene. It's bright, sunny and there is excitement in the air.
This piece is a symphony of racing sails, where the boats are depicted in a lively and colourful array, each sail catching the wind and propelling forward.
