Artwork Description

A striking companion to the water lily series, this 30 x 30 cm oil painting captures the elegance and vitality of a lotus in full bloom. Against a soft, pale green background that evokes a misty morning garden, a vibrant pink lotus rises high above the foliage.

Below the blossoms, deep green lotus leaves provide a rich, grounding contrast. The vertical composition of the flower "leaping" from the leaves symbolizes purity and a spirited ascent towards the light.

Finished with a high-gloss hydrocarbon varnish, the painting possesses a radiant, wet-look sheen. This archival treatment not only protects the pigments but also adds a professional gallery depth, making the pink petals appear luminous and life-like.

The piece is elegantly presented in a coffee-colored wood floating frame. The warmth of the dark wood frames the airy green palette beautifully, creating a window-like effect on your wall.

Artist Bio

Wenjuan Yang has been interested in arts and crafts since she was a little girl.
About two years ago, Wenjuan began her journey with a simple passion for painting, learning everything from the ground up—from selecting the right brushes and paints to mastering the art of mixing colors and capturing light. Today, that curiosity has evolved into a recognized artistic journey.
In a remarkably short span of time, Wenjuan’s works have transitioned from the quiet of her backyard garden to the walls of private collectors. Most recently, her unique artistic voice was discovered by professional curators, leading to an invitation to exhibit at the "Splendour: The Transcendental Experience of Nature" exhibition during the 2026 Adelaide Fringe Festival.
Based in Adelaide.Moving forward, Wenjuan Yang will continue to channel a deep love for the natural world through her landscapes and floral paintings.
