Artwork Description

Pond 3 is an immersive exploration of light, water, and botanical life. The composition utilizes a deep perspective, drawing the viewer’s eye from the immediate ripples of the foreground into a seemingly infinite horizon of flora.

The Foreground: In the lower register, the water is rendered in rich, multi-tonal shades of teal and deep blue-green. Scattered across this fluid surface are clusters of lily pads, anchored by a single, delicate pink water lily that serves as a vibrant focal point.

The Midground: The center of the canvas is dominated by a lush expanse of lily pads and blossoms, creating a dense texture of life that bridges the gap between the viewer and the distance.

The Horizon & Reflection: Beyond the dense foliage, the composition opens up to reveal a clearing where the pale blue sky is mirrored perfectly on the water’s surface. This light-filled center is framed by the soft, pale yellow-green reflections of distant trees.

The Infinite Vista: The painting concludes at the upper edge with a vista of water lilies stretching as far as the eye can see, evoking a sense of boundless natural beauty.

This piece was completed just two months ago. To ensure the highest quality and longevity, it is currently in its final natural drying phase. A professional protective varnish will be applied shortly to seal the vibrant pigments and enhance the depth of the greens. It will be ready to ship as soon as the finish is perfectly set.
