Akkarfjord

In 2017 I did a three week arts residency in Arctic Norway on a remote island off the coast of Norway.This painting came out of sketch studies that I undertook within the residecy.The view is Akkaforjd on the island of Soroya.

My artistic practices culminate around the explorations of spirituality, consciousness, storytelling and ecology. Through in-depth research of cultural story, mythology and symbolic references I create different forms of visual art.
Within my recent works I have been investigating pictorial narratives of symbol and mythology from past cultures and animals that bridge humanity to the natural world.
