Here and there

A still life of three vases and 2 small plates. The vases all came to me from travels, one is from Vietnam, one from South Korea and one was gifted by a friend on her return from Queensland. The small plates are mass produced locally bought items, probably not produced here in Australia but they do not have a distinct story of place.

WilhelminaM is an emerging artist in Southeast Melbourne on Boonwurrung country who makes small still life paintings using gouache, ink sketch and watercolour. Her work is about contemplation and simplicity. She enjoys finding the beauty in ordinary everyday objects and seeing how slight shifts in arrangement as well as light can create different emotions and moods. WilhelminaM also enjoys experimenting with landscapes, portraits and scenes. She has recently begun entering small exhibitions across Melbourne.
