Born in1950 in Melbourne I grew up in the eastern suburbs.
At university I began cartooning for the student newspaper and after completing a degree in architecture I continued to paint , draw and cartoon but was primarily occupied with the practice of architecture.

My painting throughout the years has varied between landscape, portraiture, caricature and more figurative work.
Since about 2015 I have begun to concentrate more intently on painting and am primarily interested in experimenting with what one might call a form of Lyrical Abstraction inspired by the natural world.
