Artwork Description

It was inspired by on line picture. A younger ballerina from behind, captured in a moment of graceful movement. The ballerina stands facing away from the viewer, her back slightly arched, her arms extended outwards in a pose that suggests fluidity and poise. Her hair is neatly pulled back into a classic ballet bun. She is wearing a traditional ballet tutu, which is predominantly white but subtly tinged with soft pink and yellow hues, giving it a delicate and ethereal quality. The bodice of her costume is a light pink.

The background is a vibrant and abstract wash of colors, blending blues, purples, pinks, and yellows in a soft, dreamlike fashion. The colors are blended and diffused, creating a sense of atmosphere rather than a defined space. The floor she stands on is a deep, rich indigo blue, with a darker purple shadow painted beneath her. A long, delicate pink ribbon trails from her left hand, curving gracefully onto the blue floor, adding a dynamic element to the composition. Her feet are en pointe, with white ribbons wrapped around her ankles and tied. The brushstrokes are visible, typical of watercolor technique, with soft edges and a luminous quality to the colors. The overall impression is one of delicate beauty, movement, and a touch of fantasy.

Artist Bio

Born in China, I arrived in Australia in 1989 and have been living on the Gold Coast, Queensland since 1992. I have always had a passion for international travel and taking photos to keep as wonderful memories of my life. My interest in photography inspired me to take up painting as a challenge in creating my own images of my memories and what I see through my own eyes (not a camera lens). This lead me to becoming an artist and I 🎑attended all the different classes , workshops and courses to improve my painting skills & technics to a higher level. Subsequently, I joined the Royal Queensland Arts Society at Broadbeach to continue my advancement,

The principle theme of my work is mainly landscaping, I have found oil and acrylic as the medium that best suits my passion for landscaping, portraits of animals and people. My sales have included animal portraits, commission works from friends and family. Other sales have been through Bluethumb and the Royal Queensland Art Gallery at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast. I have fortunate to have sales locally, interstate and internationally.

In the future, I love to produce more arts from the nature, animals and people for art lover, friends and families. And join more workshops , learn from the different artists, enter more art prizes.

Available on commission for kids, animals portraits.
