Artwork Description

Influenced by the fields of wildflowers where I once lived, this atmospheric piece takes you back to nostalgic times walking amongst the poppies and long grasses.

Artist Bio

From an early age I have always loved painting and am especially attracted to the beauty of flowers and plants. Having trained in the UK in decorative arts I next followed by a degree in Arts and Fine Arts at UNSW. Xanga exhibits in many online group shows and been a finalist in various art prizes.

My art practice follows various paths including abstract, nature and textiles with an overlying interest in energy and matter and the balance of living things. Whether it be through the play of light or the energy that surrounds things there is a dynamism. We cannot always see this but we can feel it and on that account this illuminates the intangible as something visible. The energy bounces off live and inanimate objects to give aspirations of optimism and the prospect of hope. My collectors are attracted by the harmonious colour palette partnered with the symbolic underlying meanings as a way to give a sense of peaceful feng shui.

In addition, Xanga is continuously exhibiting with various galleries Nationwide and additionally sells works on Saatchi Art.
