Drifting in Coal River

I painted this piece after a quiet afternoon at Richmond in Tasmania, where I watched two ducks drifting gently through the rippling water in Coal River. The way the light danced across the surface—casting soft greens and golds—felt both calming and full of life.

My hope is that this painting brings a sense of stillness and quiet connection with nature—something I often feel living here in Tasmania.
