The Tall Ship of Hobart

On a calm day near Hobart’s town pier, I came across a striking tall ship, its masts rising proudly against the sky. The warm wooden tones of its hull glowed gently in the soft light, mirrored by the lively waves of the harbour.

I painted this scene in watercolour using professional-grade Winsor & Newton pigments on 300gsm handmade paper, capturing the textured movement of the water, the intricate rigging, and the quiet atmosphere of Tasmania’s waterfront.
