Xinyi Wu is a Chinese-Australian emerging artist and designer based in Australia. Born in Shanghai and having moved to Australia as a teenager, Xinyi brings a cross-cultural sensitivity to her creative practice. She holds a degree in Architecture Design, which informs her refined spatial awareness and thoughtful composition.
Her artistic journey began with sketching and life drawing, and gradually evolved into abstract painting as a way to explore emotion, movement, and personal reflection. Working primarily with acrylics, her recent works focus on fluid forms, energy balance, and symbolic narratives — often inspired by jellyfish as metaphors for connection, resilience, and the quiet power of existence.
Xinyi’s use of clean, vibrant colour and soft gradients reflects her search for inner clarity and emotional rhythm. Her works are both intuitive and intentional, inviting viewers to slow down and contemplate the invisible threads that link us — to ourselves, to others, and to the present moment.
