Emerald Bloom

The 'Emerald Bloom' painted entirely from my imagination, examines how we view and recall beauty in the age of hyper-digitalization. In order to depict a subject that seems to be actively dissolving into a digital interface or a "glitch," I used the rich, traditional medium of oil and acrylic on canvas. The precise, pixelated fragmentation of the composition contrasts sharply with the oil paint's tactile, sculptural quality, creating a potent tension.
