Artwork Description

A bird's-eye view from the Yarra Valley on a misty day.

Artist Bio

Yeonjoo weaves and intertwines her faith and her daily experiences into her work, to share a space of peace and happiness, beauty and grace. She captures, in oil and acrylic, the passing, the ephemeral, the transient in abstract dreamscapes, where clouds dance above stretching coastlines and mountainous peaks. Yeonjoo offers a place of intrigue, simplicity and mystery, for the mind to become lost in and for the imagination to explore. She chases the ever-changing cloud, the shifting skies, with the camera and transports them to the canvas; each sky a new and a rich source for her art. Colours are enriched, layers gain an enticing depth.
From the more realistic to the minimal and the abstract, Yeonjoo’s clouds have transformed over time to become a breathing space, a moment’s pause.
