Oil on wood
Signed on the front.
I live in the Riverina and every small town seems to have a silo in it. I see them as an important link in the chain to the prosperity of these small almost forgotten towns. This is the silo in my village of Ardlethan. It always seems uninhabited, kind of ghostly, alone. This is the feeling I am trying to depict in this painting. The silo standing upright and alone and important. That is why this painting is so silent. I love silos.
