In this painting the suburban dweller is an alien in his own home. He is always in the dog house, this is depicted by the dog house patch on his right shoulder. ASNA is playing with the name NASA. Suburbia is reflected in the helmet of the suburban alien. If you look at the window of the house you can see space, the final frontier. This is about me living in suburbia as a young artist and not fitting in, I am saluting the great artist Magritte in this work as well.
