This painting was a semi-finalist painting chosen to advertise the 2012 Moran portrait Prize. I was very proud of the publicity this painting drew. I based this painting on an oversized record album sleeve of one of Larry's albums, 'Taking Care of Business,' Larry's first album to be released in the 60's during the heady days of mafia controlled music in New York. This is a portrait of Larry Page; he was the Producer of the bands the Kinks and the Troggs, back in the 60's. His most famous song is "Wild Thing." This painting would be ideal for a rock style cafe or for the home of a music enthusiast. This painting depicts Larry in his heyday on the left using a dictaphone as part of his busy routine and as he is today still busy doing business by iPhone, living in Australia and still behind the scenes in music with the likes of Harry Vander creating more hits and more groovy bands.
