Artwork Description

"Between Two Suns" captures a moment suspended between energy and stillness. Through the degumming process, natural peach gum and gum arabic interact with layers of acrylic pigment to create bursts of color and luminous voids. The composition is dominated by two sun-like circular forms, rendered in vibrant orange and golden yellow, suggesting celestial duality or a parallel reality. The surrounding textures, created through chance and material reaction, evoke the shifting skies or inner landscapes. This work reflects the artist's ongoing exploration of nature-inspired abstraction, impermanence, and the beauty of unpredictable outcomes in printmaking.

Artist Bio

I am currently studying Visual Arts (double major) as part of my Master of Teaching at Monash University in Melbourne. With a strong foundation in art theory and practice, I have developed a deep artistic sensibility and technical skill. My recent work focuses on degummed painting, a unique and experimental printmaking method that explores the textures and organic forms of nature. Through this process, I aim to evoke quiet emotion and poetic abstraction. I am passionate about visual storytelling and continually expanding my creative language through research and hands-on studio practice.
