My works is known to emit a light and ethereal mood which instantly bring peace and relaxation to the space they inhabit, an appreciation for my natural environment is fundamental to my practice as I observes its transitions and natural beauty.
I have a delicate and fine approach which provides an immersive experience for those viewing my works.
During the past few months in lockdown to keep myself from going crazy I swim in the ocean most days and go for walks around the neighbourhood. Without venturing far I have been finding much inspiration close to home, " Sunday Drive" is inspired by a lovely vintage Mercedes I came across whilst walking.
From water to bricks and everything in between, I have especially enjoyed drawing inspiration from the local ocean pools which I am lucky enough to have close by.
I love seeing them at different times of day with long shadows stretched across their pavements and light reflecting beneath the surface. I love the colours you find underwater, there are perfect colour combinations to be found.
Some works have a moody dark deserted feel, others a vibrant uplifting effect, I think this reflects the ups and downs of days in Lockdown.
