Born in Seoul Korea, Young Ah is a composer, pianist, and artist.
Before switching to music as her major, Young Ah Barnes followed an arts path and graduated from Seoul Art High School.
Taking a 28 year break from painting, she graduated with a Bachelor of Media Arts with Honours from James Cook University, Australia, in 2014 and began drawing again in 2018.
Young Ah Barnes's style of art work is abstract painting that is characterized by colourful beauty and expression of free imagination. Each work stands out for its unique creativity as a complex composition method in colourful colours, but with a simple and clear compositional design expression method.
Her artwork is inspired from the Bible.
