Artist Bio

I am a self-taught Watercolourist living in Gold Coast, Queensland.
Frequently received compliments from the buyers/audience on my artworks are “elegant”, “delicate”, “therapeutic”, “soothing” and so on. I think this is partially reflections of culture and traditions from Japan, a place where I was born and brought up.
I first became a member of Blue Mountains art Society and started to exhibit my artworks, then moved to Central Coast of NSW and started to exhibit my works actively at various exhibitions while having been a member in three separate art societies.
I am now living in Gold Coast, Queensland and enjoying the warmer weather and even more active with my watercolour painting. When I paint, time just passes and I am in my own world inspired by surroundings and add my playful imagination.
My watercolour technique is mixing loose and details. Sometimes it is challenging, but I enjoy this continuing learning.
It is very rewarding that I have received “Highly commended”, “Second Place”, “People’s Choice Award” in the past exhibitions. I am also thrilled that more than 150 paintings of mine have been sold for the past 15-16 years of my on and off work due to my work.
