Artwork Description

Watercolour painting on Arches cotton paper.
A few years ago, We were visiting Wellington, New Zealand. They were observing ANZAC day to honour the fallen soldiers of the First World War. There were Red Poppy flowers made of paper to be worn. And that is when I got to know the story behind the Red Poppy. The war tore up the fields and forests, tearing up trees and plants, wreaking havoc on the soil beneath. But in the warm early spring of 1915, bright scarlet red poppy flowers began peeking through wounded land. Known famously as Flanders poppy. Every grave was beautifully decorated by these pretty scarlet red poppy flowers like it was a message from above.
The Painting will be a great addition to both modern and traditional interior.
