Born and raised in Fukuoka, Japan, I carried my father’s talent in blood since seeing him working on his art at an early age. I was very much into making manga stories up to entering university, and pursued other academic interests after entering and getting satisfactory recognition in a national girl’s manga competition. At the age of 20 I was studying at Texas USA as an exchange student for a year, and the experience changed my perspective in life a lot. I moved to New Zealand at the age of 27 and then moved to Australia two years later. Working as a language teacher and tour guide or interpreter I appreciated the nature more and more wherever in went. Having a son with Down’s Syndrome also drove me to live as much as I wanted to live. Now that s radiated from high school, I am more conscious of environment sustainability, recycling materials to create innovative domestic items. In Australia I lived in Melbourne, Sydney, Ayers Rock resort and Mossman (25 km from Port Douglas) and Cairns ( near Great Barber Reef). I am very lucky to live in such a cozy city which has access to various kinds of nature. I’m currently fundraising for Australian BushFire victims with my art.
