Descending Hope

《Descending Hope》was inspired by the quiet, expansive beauty of the sky, ocean and sunlight. The work brings together two perspectives: the endless horizon where sea meets sky, and the elevated view of clouds and sunlight seen from above.
The brilliant midday sun becomes the emotional centre of the work — a symbol of light, warmth and hope descending from above. I wanted to capture that fleeting feeling of looking down from the clouds and experiencing a sense of peace, distance and wonder, as though the world had briefly become still.
For me, the descending light also carries a deeper spiritual meaning. Hope is not always something we create for ourselves; sometimes it arrives as a gift, quietly reaching us from above. Through this painting, I wanted to express the feeling that even in moments of uncertainty, there is always light moving towards us.
