Was it tunnel vision? Visual it surely was. All I ever wanted was to paint. From humble beginnings as the assistant in the workshop of a painter and printer, and later working as an illustrator, I graduated from University of Applied Science with a BA (Com. Des.). Being involved in art for the majority of my life, I'm still evolving and my art keeps changing.
While my compositions are carefully planned to give structure, my brushstrokes are unencumbered by the urge to be perfect. I want my art to convey an air of freedom and spontaneity, a bit like jazz music.
I mix expressionism and impressionism in a contemporary form, with abstract elements.
In addition to the given dimensions, all art has a painted margin of 3 cm all around for stretching over a timber frame. Depth of 0.2 cm, as listed in the dimensions, reflects the approximate thickness of the actual fabric plus paint.
