Artwork Description

The method is all about creating texture, light, dark and colour in a random way, only to then use the shapes, shadows and light to guide some order, something that is captivating to the eye.

Some of the method , such as using rubbing alcohol, and creating images from random patterns has been done by Gerda Lipski , a wonderful German painter, who seemingly creates beauty from the chaos she has created in varying ways.
Inner happiness is highly coloured, vibrant, dramatic and created without using any black paint. Something I am currently motivated to try.

I have not signed the piece on the front as I could not decide on what was a bottom section . I wanted that left to whoever decided to own it.

It is however signed on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Artist Bio

Yvonne Wells has always followed a path of creative pursuits and now moves between two creative places- painting and drawing Her paintings are opulent, dramatic and intensely colourful, while her drawings are conversely, free , light and quite subtle.

Yvonne is inspired by the drama and earthy tones of old Renaissance paintings. Her paintings , however , are intensely coloured, hyper exposed, organic images that drift out of the darkness. Her drawings focus more on wildlife both here in Australia and overseas.

She is a curious artist and dabbles in many mediums and techniques. "Creating luscious , rich coloured paintings and drawings that vibrate with life, is always a joy for the soul. "

Yvonne enjoys the process of creating all of her works. The excitement she feels when inspired by the subject matter, buoys her through those challenging times of a painting when all looks lost, only to find with persistence that it was there all along. Yvonne has also created works through commissions on canvas , on paper and as murals ( wallart).

Her past pieces can be found on her website.
