Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the side.
Yzabela’s stunning abstract nude artwork is painted in captivating tones of blues greens and brown that seems to radiate warmth and tranquility. The gentle hues of the different shades of browns, greens, white and blue tones contrast strikingly with the softness of the subtle cream evoking a sense of serenity and peace. Each stroke of Yzabela’s sticks used to make marks were fast and impromptu as she expertly blended and layered the colours to create depth and dimension, drawing the viewer into a story. The interplay of light and shadow creates a rhythm, enhancing the overall sense of fluidity, energy and grace in the work. It’s a great little piece and will look great in that small space for that hard to find artwork.
The canvas is a one off original piece. The work is created in Acrylic inks and acrylic paint. All work has been sealed for protection.

Artist Bio

I’m an artist with a deep love for emotional mark-making, layered materials, and the unseen stories that emerge through paint. I was born in Poland and moved to Australia in my late teens. After studying in Melbourne, New York, and Berlin, I lived in Melbourne for over 30 years before making a sea change to Gippsland — where I now live and work among birdsong, a wild garden, and one very unruly dog.

My work is grounded in raw pigments, sacred materials, and emotion-led mark-making. It explores gesture, energy, and the unseen stories held in the body — often evolving from a single feeling or instinct into layered, intuitive compositions.

I hold advanced diplomas in both visual art and photography. I’ve exhibited in group and solo shows across Australia and have received several art awards along the way. I often reuse old frames for their history and resonance, and I work across large and small formats — from intimate studies to bold, expressive pieces.

Right now, I’m building two bodies of work: one deeply soulful, and one created simply for joy.
