Artwork Description

Small in size but rich in presence, The Mantra brings a soft, luminous depth to any space.
It’s ideal for a peaceful nook, a contemplative corner, or as a gentle companion to a larger work — a quiet invitation to pause, exhale, and return to centre.

This piece was created through a slow, rhythmic process to the sound of the sacred mantra OM.
Each mark was intuitively made, some later filled with the symbol itself. The surface shimmers with shifting silver tones that respond to light and movement — a visual meditation echoing the sound field it was born from.

I love creating these pieces. Each one is made in rhythm with a mantra or prayer, slowly built mark by mark — a sacred, joyful practice that feels both grounding and alive.

Part of a growing Mantra series, every piece is attuned to a different frequency: from OM to ancient Sanskrit prayers, each carries its own tone, palette, and vibration. Custom mantras, sizes, and colour palettes are available on request.

Materials include the highest quality artist paints, silver-infused mediums, clear resin, and a touch of the sacred: blessed water and sacred ashes collected from spiritual sites across the world.
These elements are folded gently into the making, becoming part of the texture — held, not shown — adding a quiet field of intention to the work.

The resin-filled indents symbolise moments of stillness, echoing the laws of the universe: clarity, containment, presence. Silver represents connection — with self, with Source, with what lies beyond language.

Artist Bio

I’m an artist with a deep love for emotional mark-making, layered materials, and the unseen stories that emerge through paint. I was born in Poland and moved to Australia in my late teens. After studying in Melbourne, New York, and Berlin, I lived in Melbourne for over 30 years before making a sea change to Gippsland — where I now live and work among birdsong, a wild garden, and one very unruly dog.

My work is grounded in raw pigments, sacred materials, and emotion-led mark-making. It explores gesture, energy, and the unseen stories held in the body — often evolving from a single feeling or instinct into layered, intuitive compositions.

I hold advanced diplomas in both visual art and photography. I’ve exhibited in group and solo shows across Australia and have received several art awards along the way. I often reuse old frames for their history and resonance, and I work across large and small formats — from intimate studies to bold, expressive pieces.

Right now, I’m building two bodies of work: one deeply soulful, and one created simply for joy.
