Zachary Leonardi is an Australian-based artist and proprietor of Leonardi Illustrations, known for his breathtaking command of realism, surrealism, graphic design and cubism within his digital art. Zachary grew up with a true passion for drawing and painting portraits, spending countless hours perfecting his craft and honing his skills. As a child, he often found peace and solace in creating art, and his love of the craft continues to drive him until now.
After completing his studies in graphic design, Zachary's artistic journey evolved as he began to explore digital mediums, combining his traditional art background with innovative digital techniques. Initially, he continued to work almost exclusively in the realm of realism, mastering the art of rendering life-like figures and bringing them to life on his canvas. However, as his style and artistic identity evolved, Zachary began to embrace new ways of expressing himself. Today, Zachary's digital art reflects a bold and innovative combination of realism with elements of surrealism, pop art and graphic design, reimagining human forms and taking viewers on wild, transformative journeys.
"I am totally intrigued by Zachary Leonard's digital artwork
Koi Collection. Firstly it is exciting to see the vast field of digital artists. But I particularly love this digital painting as it plays psychological tricks with your brain filling in blanks for you and making me see things that aren't there. The organic shape and the colour combination immediately lets you recognise a koi fish even though there are no head, scales or gills to be seen. It's the type of artwork that leaves you puzzled and makes you come back to it for more."
