Artwork Description

This piece explores the disconnection of nature within built up areas . The imagery was inspired by looking out from a bus window on the way to the rain station, and noticing two large trees meshed in between the fringe of the suburban sprawl. The painting tries to capture the feeling of the displacement by having the trees in focus and almost fading away as the eye moves to the housing blocks in the background.

From the Artist:

Hi,
My work is a reflection of what inspires me. I enjoy observing my surroundings and using architectural dwellings juxtaposed with natural landscapes to reflect human experiences . My art often explores this disconnection by buildings compositions using architectural and geometric forms against trees, ocean horizons and vast skies.
