My still life paintings are approached as a subjective and introspective practice rather than a literal representation of visible objects. While grounded in the familiar language of still life, the works move beyond accurate depiction to explore inner reflection, memory, and emotional resonance. Objects become quiet narrators, carrying personal and symbolic meaning rather than functioning as purely visual motifs.
Through a unique painterly style, I use subtle gradations of hue and tone to shape atmosphere and psychological depth. Colour transitions are carefully layered to suggest light, mood, and time, allowing the setting to evolve organically across the surface of the painting. This approach invites the viewer to slow down and engage with the work on a contemplative level.
My practice is informed by the expressive sensibilities of post-Impressionist painting and artists such as Véronique Mansart, whose work embraces emotional intensity and painterly freedom. These influences guide my exploration of colour, texture, and rhythm, enabling still life to function not as an exercise in observation, but as a reflective space where internal experience and artistic intuition converge.
