I am a visual artist with roughly 5 years of experience in painting, drawing, and other mediums. I aim to bridge gaps and foster appreciation for Indigenous culture, connection to nature, and the people whose blood runs through me. Art practice for me reignited after a period of loss after my father (Lincoln Carson) passed in 2018. His love for coloring books unknowingly sparked a reconnection with art, eventually leading me to pick up the brush again.
Painting for me has provided an unknown, and incredible connection to heritage, to cherished stories of those before me, those who raised me and are no longer here, and to my own identity. Art serves as a powerful conduit, allowing others to delve into and understand the depth, and beauty of Indigenous culture, a mission close to my heart.
