Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the back.
I used a palette knife for this painting, and scraped a lot of paint off to give the sense of hills having been sliced open. The cuttings that tower over us as we drive our freeways have always fascinated me - the idea that rock can be so stable it stands firm despite being so brutally hacked into. Once their layers are exposed, they're also quite beautiful in their own way.
Painted on the sides so will not require framing, and finished with 3 coats of varnish.
Please Note: I do my best to photograph my artwork accurately, but due to differences in monitors and devices, colour and contrast may vary slightly.
