Influence:
Around 20 million of us Aussies live within 50 kilometers of the coast. As summer temperatures soar, we flock to the ocean to splash, swim, surf, paddle, and plunge in the waves. Have you ever wondered though, how these giant waves form? I know I have. As soothing as they are fascinating, I had to find out where they begin their long journey to our shores which, by the way, is the smallest part of their epic travel. It seems they start thousands of kilometres away building momentum from a tiny ripple. There are so many types of waves from ‘surface’ waves to ‘tsunamis’.
This piece is my tribute to the sheer velocity and energy these great waves generate especially making a splash onto the rocks which stand in their way.
This piece of art will definitely capture the attention of all who gaze upon it and give energy and movement. This seascape will suite any contemporary home perfectly, wherever it be hung.
