pencil illustration of infamous bank-robber of the 1930's, John Dillinger. As famous with the public as infamous with the law John and the Dillinger gang robbed between twelve and twenty-four banks in the American mid-West during the Depression era. John died in a hail of FBI bullets during a shootout outside the Biograph Theatre in Chicago with girlfriend Polly Hamilton. In the illustration John is seen with a favourite for the era, a Thompson submachine gun tucked under his right arm. The paper has been artificially aged for era-look.
